Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
Regulation 4 places a duty to manage asbestos on whoever is responsible for maintenance of non-domestic premises, including the common parts of domestic premises. The duty holder must take reasonable steps to find asbestos-containing materials, assess their condition, record the findings, assess the risk and prepare and act on a management plan. HSG264 sets out the survey methodology.
