FULL GUIDE IN PREPARATION

This guide has been scoped and reviewed but not yet written up. The legislation it covers is set out below, with the citation and the date each entry was last checked. The service page linked underneath carries the practical detail in the meantime.

THE SERVICE THIS GUIDE IS ABOUT

Fire Risk Assessment, from £125.99

LEGAL BASIS

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, as amended by the Fire Safety Act 2021 and section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022

Article 9 requires the responsible person to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to which relevant persons are exposed, and to keep it under review. The Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed that in multi-occupied residential buildings the assessment covers the structure, external walls and flat entrance doors. Since 1 October 2023 the assessment must be recorded in full in all cases.
